Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the tire and loading information labels on the B-pillar and fuel filler door and provide you with an add-on for the owner's manual. The dealer will also inspect the tires and, if necessary, replace them.

Correction: Dealers will replace the hose and clamp at the lower connecting point of the transition hose, between the underbody fuel line and the Schrader valve, and replace the hose at the upper connection of the fuel line to the fuel pump.

Correction: Dealers will check the retaining ring position and correct their position if necessary.

  Certain vehicles may have received incorrect module coding updates between December 3rd, 2016 and December 5th, 2016 during vehicle servicing. Depending on which vehicle control unit was improperly coded, the potential malfunctions could differ. In some cases, the improper coding could potentially affect functions of the Electronic Stability Control system (ESC), such as the HOLD function, or the trailer stabilization, and the distance control unit assistance system. In other cases, certain airbag control unit functions could be affected, such as the seat belt buckle status not being properly recognized. Furthermore another potential result of the incorrect coding, is that some powertrain scopes could be affected, which could lead to an engine failure or the loss of the speed limiter function. These conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the coding of the affected control units.

As a result, the BSM cannot be activated. If a driver was expecting the system to be functional and were to rely solely on the visual and acoustic warnings of the BSM when attempting to change to or overtake a lane in which another vehicle is travelling, it could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install the correct instrument cluster and steering wheel.

  On certain vehicles, the front passenger airbag may have been produced with an incorrect Tether Activation Unit (TAU). In the event of a crash warranting deployment of the front passenger airbag, the TAU may not open the vent, and the airbag may not vent properly. An improperly vented airbag may not protect the seated occupant as expected, and could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the front passenger airbag.
