  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the hidden hinges for the ramp door may fail. If this happens, the ramp door could break when loading or unloading items into the rear garage area. Safety Risk: A ramp door that breaks when loading or unloading items in the rear garage could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you shouldn't use the ramp door until the recall repairs have been completed. Keystone will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to install support brackets for the ramp door.

  Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the pins for the rear gate and/or the support bracket for the patio steps may be missing. As a result, the gate and/or the steps could move and cause a person to fall. Safety Risk: A gate and/or steps that moves could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: None of the affected trailers have been delivered to customers. Keystone will instruct dealers to install the missing gate pins and/or support bracket before the trailers are delivered. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone advises you to check for missing rear gate pins and/or a missing patio leg support bracket. If either are missing, you shouldn't use the patio until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the receiver for the removable step on the side of the trailer may not have been attached properly. As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall. Safety risk: A step that detaches could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Keystone advises that you should check that the receiver for the step bracket is properly secured until the recall repairs have been completed. Keystone will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the receiver for the removable step.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the circuit board for the LED light rings on the cooktop knobs could fail. As a result, the wiring and/or LED lights could overheat and melt. Note: This recall only affects RV trailers equipped with certain Suburban cooktops. Safety Risk: Wiring and/or lights that overheat and melt can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to disable or remove the LED light rings. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should disconnect the power for your trailer when it's not used and not to use the cooktop until the recall repairs are completed.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fuel station controller could fail. If this happens, the fuel station may not work or the controller could catch fire. Safety Risk: The fuel station controller could fail and catch fire. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect the circuit protection for the fuel station controller. The dealer will install a 15 A fuse if the circuit is on an auto-reset circuit breaker, and seal the back of the controller by installing a plastic box around it. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should check to ensure that a 15 A fuse is installed on the fuel station controller circuit, or unplug the controller until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the foot pad for the hydraulic leveling jack may become loose and detach from the vehicle while towing. Safety Risk: A foot pad that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealer to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the leveling jack foot pad.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wire connections for the shore power inlet may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connections could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to tighten the wire connections for the shore power inlet. If the connections can't be tightened, the shore power inlet will be replaced.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wiring for the solar controller may not have been installed correctly. Under certain conditions, this could cause the 12 V DC electrical system not to work properly (including the carbon monoxide and propane gas detector). If this happens, you would not be alerted if there was a buildup of propane gas and/or carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Note: This recall affects trailers with a SolarFlex 200 or 400i system. Safety Risk: A buildup of propane gas inside the trailer could create the risk of an explosion or fire. A buildup of carbon monoxide could result in carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and give you directions for how to use the VictronConnect app to check the battery voltage. This can help you ensure that the wiring for the solar controller is connected correctly. If it is not, they will ask you to bring your trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring. If the VictronConnect app shows that the battery voltage is over 14.4 V, you should disconnect the battery from the solar power and take the trailer to a dealer for service.

Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

As a result, the power cord may be back-fed with electricity when the generator is running. Safety Risk: A power cord that is back-fed with electricity could create a risk of electrocution. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to start the generator to determine if there is power inside of the trailer. If there is no power inside the trailer while the generator is running, you should contact a dealer to have the wiring to the power transfer switch repaired. Keystone recommends that you should not use your generator until the recall repairs are completed.

Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.   On certain travel trailers, the hinge assemblies of the rear cargo door may have been manufactured incorrectly. The weld on the hinge assembly had been ground down during manufacturing to ensure clearance when installed on a door. The grinding of the weld weakened the joint, and as a result, if the door were to be opened and the hinge assembly were to fail, the door could come down with more force than normal, increasing the risk of injury to a person standing nearby. Correction: Dealers will inspect the hinge assembly and replace as necessary.

Correction: Dealers will install a hinge brace over the back of the existing hinges to secure the hinge and mounting bracket.

Correction: Dealers will replace the defective screws with correctly rated screws.

If the consumer is unable to unplug the microwave, they should leave the door ajar until the microwave is replaced.

Over time, this condition could lead to excessive temperature, arcing, or thermal damage at the connection point, and potential damage to the electrical insulation of the panel board. This could lead to a fire, property damage, or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and remove all affected breakers from the distribution panel, and replace them with new breakers.

This condition may result in further degradation of the electrical connections, elevated case temperatures and an increased risk of appliance and other property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the transfer switch for evidence of heat damage and verify the fastener torque. If the inspection reveals evidence of heat damage, the switch will be replaced.

Correction: Dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.

Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the oven supply tube.

  On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the Federal Identification Label and the Tire & Loading Information Label do not contain correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and/or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) information. The labels indicate a GAWR of 7,000 lbs per axle but instead should read 6,840 lbs. On 302 model trailers, the GVWR is indicated as 16,365 lbs instead of 16,045 lbs. And, on 322 model trailers, the GVWR is listed as 16,560 lbs instead of 16,240 lbs. Loading the vehicle beyond the actual GAWR and/or GVWR could result in poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles along with instructions for proper installation.
