  Issue: On certain buses, the recall repairs completed by a Prevost service center during recall SR24-33 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-521) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second inspection and/or repair is required. On certain buses, the passenger seat belts may not extend from the retracted position. If this happens, the seat belts can't be used. Safety Risk: Not wearing a seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the passenger seat belts.

Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to inspect the coolant heater, adjust it and replace any damaged components, if necessary. Prevost recommends that you should not use the heater until the recall repairs are completed.

Safety Risk: Driving without tail lamps in low light conditions could make the vehicle less visible and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to tighten the intake air heater relay nut. Prevost will also inspect and, if necessary, replace any damaged components.

Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and provide instructions for how to replace the driver's seat.

To reduce the safety risk, Prevost recommends that you should inspect the front bearing on the alternator regularly, and not operate the engine with a defective alternator.

Correction: The manufacturer will provide instructional information and warning decals.
