Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to an authorized service facility to replace the entry door latch.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the service valve (main shutoff) for the propane tank may be defective. As a result, the connector may not seal properly and could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to perform a leak test and inspect the date code on the service valve. It will be replaced, if necessary. Newmar recommends that you should shut off the service valve (main shutoff) on the propane tank until your motorhome is inspected.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Note: This recall replaces FL-861 (Transport Canada recall 2020-443). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the wiring under the front seats may not be properly secured. As a result, the wiring could be damaged when the seat is moved. If this happens, the wiring could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your motorhome to a dealership to inspect the wiring under the front seats. The wiring will be protected and secured, as required. The dealer will also make changes to the circuit protection.

If this happens, the glass could separate and fall from the motorhome. Safety Risk: A window that detaches from the motorhome could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your motorhome to an authorized dealer or service center to inspect and replace the vent window glass, as required.

If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. If you smell propane gas inside your motorhome, you should evacuate and turn off the gas supply immediately.

Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.   On certain motorhomes equipped with Lippert Components Inc. electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

Correction: Dealers will install a new door latch that cannot be inadvertently locked and can only be activated from the exterior of the refrigerator after the door is closed.

As a result, the park brake system may not properly hold the vehicle even with the park brake pedal fully depressed. This could also cause the park brake system to remain partially engaged when the park brake pedal is released causing the brake shoes to drag on the drum and potentially overheat the brakes. These issues would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the parking brake foot pedal assembly.

If the consumer is unable to unplug the microwave, they should leave the door ajar until the microwave is replaced.

Correction: Dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.

  On certain vehicles equipped with an optional dual-fill 75 or 100 gallon fuel tank, the fuel cap assembly used to seal the unused side of the dual-fill fuel tank may have been manufactured with a hose material that does not meet design specifications. During normal usage the hose may deteriorate and cause a fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the original fuel fill cap assembly with an updated version.
