  Issue: On certain trucks, the cable connection at the battery auxiliary post could contact the hold-down bracket. If this happens, there could be a short circuit. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-428. Trucks that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to insulate the battery hold down bracket and install spacers between the batteries.

Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software.

Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the brake system electronic control unit software.

  Issue: On certain trucks equipped with an automatic transmission, when the engine RPM increases for the stationary power take off (PTO), it can overcome the parking brake if the transmission is in drive or reverse gear. As a result, the truck may move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the truck could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to update the engine control module (ECM) software to enable the PTO neutral interlock.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, the lock nuts for multiple front and rear suspension and steering parts may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the nut(s) could loosen. A sudden change in vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the affected hex flange lock nuts.

  Issue: On certain trucks, the tie rod end clamps could crack and loosen. If this happens, the threads on the tie rod end could become damaged and the tie rod end could separate. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to replace both tie rod end clamps.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE#24V818000October 31, 2024

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Lonestar, 2021-2025 RH, HV, MV, LT, HX, and 2022 PROSTAR vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

  Risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2024. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 24515.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International MV and International HV vehicles. The driveshafts can break under certain loading conditions.

  Risk: A broken driveshaft can separate and cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

• SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:ABS WARNING LIGHT#23V370000May 25, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 International HV, HX, LoneStar, LT, MV, eMV, and RH trucks, and IC Bus CE, 2021-2023 IC Bus RE, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC Commercial Buses. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator light does not remain illuminated when a malfunction exists, and when the vehicle's ignition switch is on, and the vehicle is in motion. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risk: An ABS indicator light that fails to remain illuminated will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Towing variant vehicles under this campaign will not be repaired under recall 24V-8918. Dealers will update the software, free of charge. • PARKING BRAKE#23V171000March 16, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International HV, HX, LT, RH, and Lonestar vehicles. The Intellipark Tractor Park Valve Module (PVM) may intermittently become stuck in the un-parked position and fail to move into the park position when the park switch is activated.

  Risk: A PVM that fails to move into park can cause a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Bendix will replace the Intellipark PVM. Owner notification letters were mailed November 3, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 23508.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY#23V154000March 8, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International HV and 2023-2024 International MV vehicles. The assembly bolts used to attach the battery box to the mounting bracket may be loose or missing.

  Risk: Loose or missing bolts can allow the battery box to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will replace and tighten all four bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 23506.

• POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT#23V153000March 8, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International HV and 2023-2024 International MV vehicles. The rear axle spring wedge shim may have been incorrectly installed, which can cause U-joint failure and result in driveshaft separation.

  Risk: Driveshaft separation can cause a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will reinstall the rear axle wedge shim, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 23505.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE#23V120000February 23, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2024 International HV, International MV trucks, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC commercial buses. When the parking brake is applied, the automatic transmission is still in drive or reverse position, and the stationary power take-off (PTO) switch is engaged by the operator, the engine may rev and overcome the parking brake's ability to keep the vehicle from moving.

  Risk: Unexpected vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

  Remedy: Dealers will update the Cummins ECM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2023. • SUSPENSION:CRITICAL FASTENERS#22V869000November 23, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2022 International CV, 2022-2023 International HV, 2023 IC 1300 FBC, CE, RE, TC, International MV, HX, LT, RH, and LoneStar vehicles. The hex flange lock nuts, used in the suspension and steering joints, were improperly heat treated and may lose tension over time.

  Risk: A loss of tension in the steering and suspension joints may lead to steering instability and increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will replace the hex flange lock nuts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 20, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 22524.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM)#22V609000August 10, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International LT, International Lonestar, International MV, International HV, International HX, and IC Bus TC Commercial buses. The engine control module (ECM) may experience an internal electrical short-circuit, causing the engine to stall.

  Risk: An unexpected engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Cummins will replace the ECM. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2022. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX, HV, LoneStar, LT, MV, RH, IC TC Commercial Bus, and 2022 International WorkStar vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.

  Risk: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will inspect the steering gear serial numbers, and replace the steering gears as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2022. • EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS#22V282000April 27, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International MV, International HV, and 2022 IC RE commercial buses built without a forward radar unit. The warning label notifying the driver that the collision mitigation system is inoperative may be missing.

  Risk: Failure to warn the driver that the collision mitigation system is inoperative increases the risk of a crash.
