Note: This recall only affects certain motorhomes built on Ford chassis. Safety Risk: A buildup of exhaust gas in the motorhome could increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Additionally, an exhaust tip that detaches from the motorhome could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to install a clamp to secure the exhaust tip.

As a result, the module, connector and wiring harness could corrode and cause the instrument cluster not to work. If this happens, warnings, tell-tales and gauges may not display properly. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales, and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to replace the Smart Data Link Connector (SDLC) module and wiring harness, as necessary.

REV Group advises not to use the trailer hitch until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the service valve (main shutoff) for the propane tank may be defective. As a result, the connector may not seal properly and could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to perform a leak test and inspect the date code on the service valve. It will be replaced, if necessary. REV Group recommends that you should shut off the service valve (main shutoff) on the propane tank until your motorhome is inspected.

Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the hoses for the hydraulic leveling jack system.

Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer for an inspection. Any openings in the floor will be sealed. The company recommends that you should also check to ensure that the carbon monoxide detector is working properly, and that it has not passed its expiration date.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with a Dometic propane gas stove, there could be an odour of propane gas after a short period of use. If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: The REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. If you smell propane gas inside your motorhome, you should evacuate and turn off the gas supply immediately.

Correction: Ford dealers will inspect vehicles and, if necessary, replace the studs.

  On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.   On certain motorhomes equipped with Onan 5.5 Kilowatt EFI Generators, the external fuel pump and in-line fuel filter for the generator may be improperly secured to the underside of the motorhome chassis. If the fuel pump, fuel filter, or connected fuel lines were to detach or are jarred loose, a fuel leak may result, which in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the mounting of the generator’s external fuel pump and in-line fuel filter, and if necessary, properly secure the fuel pump's mounting bracket to the chassis frame and secure the fuel filter lines with insulated clamps, as required.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with gasoline engines, the fuel fill tubing, fuel fill mounting hardware, or fuel vent tubing may come into contact with the spring shackle bolt. If the fuel fill tubing contacts the spring shackle bolt and becomes damaged, a fuel leak may result. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the fuel fill and fuel vent components, and if necessary, re-route them, and/or install additional components to prevent contact with the spring shackle bolt.

  On certain motorhomes, the front truss may have inadequate support at its attachment points, which could cause it to sag. If wire harnesses or hydraulic lines are routed between the truss and its supporting framework, they could become pinched or crushed. If the wire harness were to be damaged, it could result in an electrical short, which could result in intermittent operation of electrical systems, a possible vehicle “shut down” and may result in loss of vehicle control. If the hydraulic lines were to be damaged, it may cause a hydraulic fluid leak. Both of these conditions could increase the risk of a fire increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will add additional steel to properly support the front truss. The hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring will be inspected and relocated if necessary.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with Lippert Components Inc. electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

  On certain motorhomes, the cable for the transmission range indicator "PRND321" on the instrument cluster may be damaged by a sharp edge on the shift lever arm. If the indicator cable is cut, the indicator will remain in the "1" position (first gear) regardless of what gear is actually selected. With no gear indication, the operator may inadvertently select an incorrect gear, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Ford dealers will replace the transmission selector arm and indicator assembly.
