Additionally, a sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. As a result, the module could overheat and cause the rearview camera image not to display when the transmission is shifted into the reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to install additional brackets on the camera control module. The dealer will also replace the camera control module, as necessary.

Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Spartan RV authorized service facility to replace the air reservoir tank.

If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

Corrective Action: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your motorhome to an authorized dealer or service center to inspect and replace the vent window glass, as required.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with driver and passenger Villa 6-way power seats, the wiring for the seat rocker switch may not be the correct size and may not be routed correctly. As a result, the switch wires could be damaged on the seat frame. This could cause a short circuit. Additionally, if the seat rocker switch gets stuck in the on (open) position, the wires could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: A short circuit or overheated wiring could create the risk of fire. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer for an interim repair. The dealer will install a protective loom and cable ties to secure the wiring harness until the final repairs are available. You should make sure that the seat rocker switch is not stuck in the on position after using it, to prevent the wires from overheating.

The motorhome should not be driven until this inspection is performed. The company will provide further directions for the inspection and for how to correct the problem.

  On certain vehicles built on a Freightliner XBR chassis, a rubber-coated braided power steering hose may have inadequate clearance to the starter power stud due to incorrect routing. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facilities will reroute the power steering hose to ensure proper clearance to starter stud.

Correction: Dealers will replace the 500 cubic inches supply reservoir (wet tank) with a 1000 cubic inches supply reservoir.

Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

  Certain vehicles fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 – Tire Selection and Rims. Due to a typographical error, the size of the rear tires, as indicated on the certification label, is incorrectly identified as 275/80R22.5 instead of 295/80R22.5. As a result, the vehicle may inadvertently be fitted with incorrect replacement tires. Correction: Dealers will install an updated certification label. In addition, the manufacturer wishes to install larger capacity front tires and wheels, thereby increasing the Gross Axle Weight Rating from 6,622 kg (14,600 lb) to 6,894 kg (15,000 lb). This change will be indicated on the new certification label.

  On certain vehicles, the connector for the brake and cruise control signal diode jumper assembly may come loose, resulting in a possible intermittent or continuously open circuit. Two circuits are potentially affected. One circuit disengages the cruise control with brake pedal application, and the other circuit illuminates the brake lights with brake application. Failure of the cruise control to disengage, or of the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will verify that the locking tabs on the diode jumper assembly connector are fully engaged and locked into place.

This could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Spartan authorized repair facilities will add spacers to the front air spring suspension.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with a Cummins engine, the V-band clamps used to connect the inlet and outlet cone sections to the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) / Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) include a T-bolt which can fracture and fail when subjected to stress or load. A fracture or failure of the T-bolt may cause the clamp to loosen and the inlet or outlet sections attached to the DOC/DPF housing to disconnect. Should this occur, hot exhaust gases can vent prior to exiting the tailpipe, creating a risk of combustion or damage to adjacent materials, which could result in a vehicle fire. If both clamps fail, the DOC/DPF housing could detach completely, separate from the vehicle, and strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Cummins will install updated V-band clamps.

Then, if the brake is applied and released, cruise control function may resume and the vehicle speed may continue to increase. An unexpected moderate increase in vehicle speed may go unnoticed by the driver and, depending on traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Owners are advised to contact Spartan Motor Chassis, Inc. at 800-393-8861, to locate an authorized repair facility. The remedy consists of replacing the cruise control switch and reprogramming the control module.

An insufficient response time can result in the power not being shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire, which could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.
