This could cause a spindle failure and result in the possible separation of a wheel from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Under certain heavy duty cycles, the lugs on the buss bar may loosen. Under high electrical loads, loose electrical connections could cause the circuit to overheat, which would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the IOTA switch.

On certain fire trucks, specific operating conditions (such as tight, successive, highly banked curves in opposite directions), could trigger unintended Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system intervention. As a result, the ESC may unnecessarily apply one of the front brakes in order to correct the perceived oversteer condition. This may cause the vehicle to deviate from the intended path, thereby increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ESC module.

On certain fire trucks, the door latch fasteners may not have received adequate tightening torque during the manufacturing process. As a result, the outer door handle may rotate out of position, allowing a retention spring to dislocate, which could cause the door to open during a vehicle crash. Should this occur, unbelted occupants could fall out of the vehicle and sustain personal injury. Correction: E-One service centers will replace the door latch assemblies.

E-One Incorporated (E-One) is recalling certain model year 2010-2016 tandem axle Cyclone vehicles manufactured July 15, 2010, to June 12, 2016. The affected vehicles are equipped with FIREMAAX suspension and aerial jack legs. While the vehicle is parked with the jack legs extended, the FIREMAAX suspension air bags may lose pressure. When the jack legs are retracted, the air bags may be wrinkled, resulting in damage and the possible failure of the pressurized suspension air bags.
Risk: Sudden suspension air bag failure can result in a reduction of vehicle stability and handling, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: E-One will notify owners, and dealers will install a pressure protection valve on the exhaust port of the height control valve, free of charge. The recall began December 19, 2017. Owners may contact E-One customer service at 1-352-861-3612.
