Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hood mounting brackets may not have been properly attached. As a result, the bracket(s) could loosen and detach from the motorhome while driving. Safety Risk: A hood mounting bracket that detaches from the motorhome could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the front turn signal lights may be too small. As a result, the turn signals could be difficult to see, and the motorhomes may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: Turn signals that are difficult to see could cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to replace the front turn signal lights.

As a result, the seat belts could loosen or detach in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect the bolts for the front seat belts, and tighten them if necessary.

Note: This recall replaces FL-856 (Transport Canada recall 2020-323). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Note: This recall replaces FL-861 (Transport Canada recall 2020-428). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

Issue: The exterior storage compartment doors may open while driving. This could allow stowed items to fall out of the vehicle. Safety Risk: A storage compartment door that opens while driving could swing into another road user’s lane. Additionally, items that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others. Both of these situations could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a dealer to replace the exterior storage compartment door latches. The dealer will also ensure that the catches/latches are properly adjusted.

Issue: On a certain motorhome, the bolts that join the steering and tie rod arm to the steering knuckle may not have been properly tightened. This could lead to a separation of the tie rod arm and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Daimler Trucks North America Authorized Service Facility to have the steering and tie rod arm bolts inspected to ensure they are torqued correctly. New fasteners will be installed as necessary.

On certain motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning motor.
