  Issue: On certain vehicles, the wiring harness to the fuel pressure sensor may be too short. As a result, the sensor could dislodge or separate from the fuel tank in a rear crash and cause a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an extension for the fuel pressure sensor wiring harness.

The company will also instruct dealers to add an insert to correct owner's manuals for all unsold vehicles.
