    24 units affected

On certain motorcycles, an incorrect gearbox detent spring could allow the transmission to inadvertently shift out of gear while the vehicle is underway. This would result in a loss of vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the gearbox detent spring.

  • Other#2013169

    33 units affected

On certain motorcycles, an incorrect washer was installed under the neutral switch during vehicle assembly. This could allow the neutral indicator light to remain illuminated when a gear is selected. As a result, the vehicle operator could mistakenly believe that the transmission is in the neutral position and release the clutch, allowing the vehicle to suddenly surge forward. This could cause a crash resulting in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the neutral switch washer.

  • Lights And Instruments#2013089

    413 units affected

On certain motorcycles, supports for the front and rear turn signal lamps were manufactured incorrectly and could break, causing the lamp assemblies to hang from their electrical wires. As a result, the driver’s intentions to turn may not be conveyed clearly to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the turn signal lamp assemblies.

  • POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION#13V211000

Triumph Motorcycles (Triumph) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Speed Triple motorcycles manufactured June 2012 through January 2013. Due to the incorrect engagement of the neutral switch and gear selector drum, the neutral light may remain illuminated despite the motorcycle actually being in gear.

Risk: The operator may think the motorcycle is in neutral while the motorcycle is in gear. This could lead to unintended movement of the motorcycle and a possible crash.

Remedy: Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will correct the engagement of the neutral switch and gear selector drum, free of charge. The recall began on June 3, 2013. Owners may contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010 for more information.

  • EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL#13V104000

Triumph Motorcycles (Triumph) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Daytona 675, Street Triple, Speed Triple, and Tiger 800 motorcycles. Due to a manufacturing error, the turn signal stems on the front and rear of the motorcycle may fracture.

Risk: If the turn signal stems break, the turn signals may not be visible to other vehicles on the road, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Remedy: Triumph will notify owners and dealers will replace the turn signal stems, free of charge. The recall began on March 26, 2013. Owners may contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010 for more information.
