Issue: On one paver special trailer, the lower mount for the gooseneck lift cylinder can crack and fail when the trailer deck is being raised or lowered during loading. Safety Risk: A trailer deck that drops suddenly could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Trail King advises to inspect the lower cylinder mount for cracks. If cracks are found, you should not use the trailer until the recall repairs are completed. Trail King will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their trailer to a dealership to add reinforcements to the lower cylinder mount.

On certain trailers, the reinforcement pivot plate in the gooseneck pivot area may be too short. As a result, over time the gooseneck pivot plate can fatigue and crack. This could lead to the gooseneck separating and causing the trailer deck to drop to the ground, which could result in loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and repair as necessary.
