Safety Risk: A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the parking assist ECU software.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the passenger-front airbag inflator or airbag module replaced. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected.

  On certain vehicles, the electrical power cords of some dealer installed block heaters may have been improperly manufactured, causing the wires to contact each other, resulting in a short circuit. Correction: For vehicles where the subject block heater was approved for installation, the dealer will replace the block heater assembly with a new one of an improved design. For vehicles where the subject block heater was not approved for installation, dealers will remove the block heater assembly. In the interim, until the remedy can be performed, dealers will cut the plug end from the block heater cord to disable the block heater's operation.

  On certain vehicles equipped with power sliding doors, under certain conditions which impede the opening of the door (such as if the door becomes frozen with ice), the sliding door motor could stall when the door is operated. If the motor stalls, high current in the door motor circuit could be generated, operating the circuit protection for the door motor. If this occurs with the sliding door latch mechanism in an unlatched position, the door could open while driving, increasing the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the existing junction block and the rear sliding door wire harnesses with newly designed ones. The dealer will also install two sub wire harnesses to connect the junction block to the two rear door wire harnesses.

If an assist grip were to completely detach, it could contact an occupant, which would increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash. Correction: Dealers will modify the headliner near the second row overhead assist grips.

Correction: As an interim measure, dealers will remove the spare tire and store it in the cargo area of the vehicle. Dealers will replace the spare tire carrier assembly when parts become available. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2010-123. Vehicles that were inspected and/or repaired under the previous recall may still be at risk of spare tire separation and will require re-inspection and/or repair.

  On certain vehicles, the brake stop lamp switch is mounted on a bracket welded on the service brake pedal support assembly. This bracket is relatively close to the parking brake pedal when the parking brake pedal is fully applied. Due to its proximity to the parking brake pedal, in some instances, the stop lamp switch bracket could be damaged by the operator's foot. Depending on the amount of bracket deformation, this could result in the brake stop lamps remaining "ON". If the deformation is significant, the service brakes could become partially engaged, resulting in brake drag with associated brake noise, vibration and/or illumination of the brake warning light. Should the vehicle continue to be operated in this condition, brake drag could cause excessive heat, which may result in reduced braking performance. This could increase stopping distances, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the service brake pedal support assembly.
