If one or both windshield wipers were to fail during use, a driver's visibility could be restricted, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain vehicles, the connector for the brake and cruise control signal diode jumper assembly may come loose, resulting in a possible intermittent or continuously open circuit. Two circuits are potentially affected. One circuit disengages the cruise control with brake pedal application, and the other circuit illuminates the brake lights with brake application. Failure of the cruise control to disengage, or of the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will verify that the locking tabs on the diode jumper assembly connector are fully engaged and locked into place.

Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling various 2003-2018 recreational vehicles, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. See a list of the affected trailer models at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V758-5764.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Risk: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Thor will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018.
