Issue: On certain school buses, the mounting of the fuel system and the material for the fuel tank cage may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. As a result, fuel could leak in a crash. Safety Risk: A fuel leak in a crash can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to modify the fuel tank area.

Safety Risk: Warning lights and a stop sign arm that don't work could increase the risk of injury for passengers getting on and off the bus. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to update the electronic control module software.

Issue: On certain school buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash. Safety Risk: A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. DTNA will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s).
