    Issue: This recall is for replacement brackets that connect the aerial basket to the boom. The replacement brackets may not be compatible with the original aerial basket retaining pins. As a result, if both basket retaining pins fail, the basket could tip. Note: This recall is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. The part number for the affected replacement brackets is 626478. Safety Risk: An aerial basket that tips suddenly could create a risk of injury to the operator and people nearby. Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with parts and instructions for how to replace the retaining pins. If you have questions about repairing your unit, you should contact your local Terex Utilities dealer.

    Issue: On a small number of aerial devices, the turntable bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could loosen and fail. If this happens, the boom could fall. Safety Risk: A boom that falls could create a risk of injury for the operator and people nearby. Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the turntable bolts. Terex advises you to perform a daily inspection of the bolts and not to use the aerial device if the bolts are loose.

U.S. NHTSA recalls

  • EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:BOOM/CRANE/LADDER#24V526000

    Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2020-2024 XT Pro vehicles equipped with replacement basket brackets. The replacement basket brackets may not be compatible with the original basket retaining pins and cause the basket to unintentionally tilt.

    Risk: Tilting of the basket may cause the basket occupants to fall, increasing the risk of an injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the retaining pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2024. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN729.

  • EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:BOOM/CRANE/LADDER:CRITICAL FASTENERS#24V042000

    Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2023 Optima-TC55, Optima-HRX50, Optima-HRX55, and XT Pro vehicles. The boom rotation bearing bolts may not be tightened properly.

    Risk: Improperly tightened boom rotation bearing bolts may fail, causing the boom to fall, and increasing the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will tighten the boom rotation bearing bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 23, 2024. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN724.
