    6 units affected

    Issue: This recall is for replacement brackets that connect the aerial basket to the boom. The replacement brackets may not be compatible with the original aerial basket retaining pins. As a result, if both basket retaining pins fail, the basket could tip. Note: This recall is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. The part number for the affected replacement brackets is 626478. Safety Risk: An aerial basket that tips suddenly could create a risk of injury to the operator and people nearby. Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with parts and instructions for how to replace the retaining pins. If you have questions about repairing your unit, you should contact your local Terex Utilities dealer.

    Issue: Certain aerial devices may not have had all pivot points lubricated during assembly. This could cause the pivot pins to seize and the pin retainers to break. If this happens, the lower boom cylinder could disconnect from the turntable. Safety Risk: A lower boom cylinder that separates from the turntable could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for inspecting all pivot points. If the pivot pins are seized or the pin retaining components are damaged, you should not use the machine until the recall repairs have been completed. Terex will instruct you to lubricate the machine according to the maintenance manual and carry out the required routine maintenance.

  • EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:BOOM/CRANE/LADDER#24V526000

    Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2020-2024 XT Pro vehicles equipped with replacement basket brackets. The replacement basket brackets may not be compatible with the original basket retaining pins and cause the basket to unintentionally tilt.

    Risk: Tilting of the basket may cause the basket occupants to fall, increasing the risk of an injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the retaining pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2024. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN729.

  • EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL#22V888000

    Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2022 C4000, Optima TC, and XT Pro outrigger vehicles. The outrigger cylinder may have been machined incorrectly, which can cause the lock valve cartridge seals to fail, allowing the cylinder to drift.

    Risk: A drifting cylinder may result in the machine tipping, increasing the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the cylinders, free of charge. All affected vehicles were inspected and remedied by December 22, 2022. Owners may contact Terex's customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN714.

  • EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:BOOM/CRANE/LADDER:CRITICAL FASTENERS#22V213000

    Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2020-2022 XT Pro aerial devices. The pivot points may not have been lubricated during assembly, which can cause the pins to seize and break the pin retainers.

    Risk: Pin retainer failure may cause the boom to fall, increasing the risk of an injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and lubricate all pivot points, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on April 29, 2022. Owners may Terex's customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN710.
