Issue: On certain snowmobiles, the engine control module bracket may have been broken during production. As a result, the broken bracket could fall in the engine compartment and cause the throttle to become stuck. Note: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles equipped with 600R E-TEC, 850 E-TEC or 850 E-TEC Turbo R engines. Safety Risk: A stuck throttle could cause an unintended acceleration and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect the throttle body and, if necessary, remove the broken bracket. The dealer will also inspect the engine control module bracket and replace it, as necessary.

Issue: On certain snowmobiles, the left ski may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the ski could break, and you could lose control of the snowmobile. Note: This recall only affects snowmobiles equipped with Pilot X skis. Safety Risk: A loss of control can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the left ski. To reduce the safety risk, BRP advises not to use your snowmobile until the recall repairs have been completed.

Issue: On certain snowmobiles, the retainer screw for the fuel injector hose may not have been tightened properly. As a result, fuel could leak. Note: This recall only affects snowmobiles equipped with an 850 E-TEC or 850 E-TEC Turbo engine. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2022-496. Snowmobiles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, install a new fuel injector hose retainer screw.

Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, install a new fuel injector hose retainer screw.

Note: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles with either a 600 ACE or 900 ACE engine. Safety Risk: A speedometer that shows only half of the vehicle speed could lead you to drive too fast. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealer to update the engine control module (ECM).

Issue: Under certain riding conditions, the muffler could overheat. If this happens, the upper right-hand vent grill could melt and drip plastic onto the exhaust. Note: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles with a 600 EFI engine. Safety Risk: Plastic that melts onto a hot exhaust system could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealer to update the engine control module software. The dealer will also install heat reflective foil on the vent grill.

Safety Risk: Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their snowmobile to a dealer to replace the engine control module (ECM) lower fuel hose. BRP advises owners not to drive their snowmobile until it is repaired. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2019-162.

Safety Risk: Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer for repair.

Owners will be instructed to take their snowmobile to a dealer to replace the direct injector fuel hose retaining plate and the engine control module (ECM) lower fuel hose. BRP advises owners not to drive their snowmobile until it is repaired.
