    2 units affected

    Issue: On certain buses, the welds between the engine compartment flaps and the mounting hinges may crack over time. If this happens, the engine compartment flaps could separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: An engine compartment flap that separates from a vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a part that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Action: Daimler Coaches North America will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a dealer to attach restraining tethers on the engine compartment flaps.

  • Seats And Restraints#2016023

    2 units affected

    Certain buses equipped with a Recaro ERGO-M driver seats may be missing welds on the seat structure. As a result, the seatbelt anchorage assembly could separate from the seat structure in the event of a crash, which would increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect for missing welds and if required replace the J-brackets.

    On certain buses, an electrical overload could occur in the control unit of the fog and cornering lights. This could potentially result in a fire increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the control unit. Note: This recall supersedes TC recall no. 2013-326.

    On certain coaches equipped with Sure Power battery equalizers and/or convertors, the equalizer and/or convertor could develop an internal short circuit, resulting in a risk of overheating, smoke and/or fire. This may result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Owners will be supplied with replacement parts and instructions on how to affect repairs. Alternatively, the manufacturer may carry out on-site repairs.

    On certain buses, an electrical overload could occur in the control unit of the fog and cornering lights. This could potentially result in a fire increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the control unit.

  • Other#2013132

    5 units affected

    On certain motor coaches, moisture may enter the remote diagnostic socket (located in the engine compartment), causing corrosion which could lead to an electrical short circuit. An electrical short could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will remove this redundant diagnostic socket and any associated wiring.
