Issue: The instruction manual and labels on some of these seats have small errors. Canadian regulations require companies to provide certain information with child seats. Safety Risk: These small errors are unlikely to affect safety. Corrective Action: This is not a recall. Owners can continue use of seats. The company has made changes to correct all new manuals and labels. Owners should contact the company if they have any questions about how to use the seat.

Certain car seats may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 213 - Child Restraint Systems. During manufacturer testing, the plastic seat shell cracked, which could allow the seat back to recline excessively and increase the risk of injury from impact forces being transferred to the child during a crash. For the Enspira 65 model specifically, this crack also exposed sharp edges which could increase the risk of injury to a child occupant, or a parent/caregiver manipulating the car seat. Correction: All registered owners will receive a letter containing instructions on how to obtain a repair kit and installation instructions. Non-registered owners of affected car seats, or owners who have moved, should contact Dorel Juvenile Group at 1-877-416-9335. Certain car seats may not comply with the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations. The registration card included with the child car seat does not contain a space for consumers to enter the date of purchase. Correction: A production change has been undertaken to remedy the technical non-compliance condition. No corrective recall action is required as the technical non-compliance condition is deemed to be non-safety related.
