If this were to occur, it could result in the AFSS system activating and giving a false warning to the driver, potentially resulting in a stopped vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and reroute the wiring.

Should the “limp home” mode be activated, the increased idle speed may cause sudden and unexpected acceleration, which could result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle if the transmission is not shifted into neutral. This could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install updated engine calibration software.
