  Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver's seat belt anchor point may be positioned too high. Canadian regulations require seat belt anchorages to be installed in certain locations. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect the safety or function of the seat belt. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Polaris has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have the driver's seat belt anchor point in the correct location.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, the terminals of the battery fuse block could be damaged during normal driving. This can result in a loss of forward and rear lighting, a loss of gauges, and a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of forward lighting would reduce visibility. A loss of rear lighting could make the vehicle less visible and cause a following driver to not recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking. A loss of power steering assist could make the vehicle difficult to steer. These failures could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Polaris will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the battery fuse block terminals and relocate the 50-A chassis fuse.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, the seat base may have been assembled improperly. This could cause the seat belt buckle to detach or cause the seat slider not to latch properly. This could result in unexpected movement of the seat or seat back. Safety Risk: If the seat moves while driving, vehicle control could be affected. In a crash, a seat that moves or a seat belt that separates could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the seat belt bracket and the seat slider latch inspected. If an incomplete or missing weld is found, or if a slider does not latch properly, the seat base will be replaced. Note: This supersedes Recall 2018-144. Vehicles repaired under the previous recall do not require repair under this recall.

  On certain vehicles, a problem with the seat belts could cause them not to stay tight during a side crash. Specifically, the seat belt retractor on the opposite side of the impact may separate and fail to keep the belt locked, creating an increased risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will install energy management loops that provide secondary retention of the seat belt and reduce lateral loading.

  Certain vehicles may fail to conform to the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 111 – Mirrors and Rear Visibility Systems. The rear view image can be temporarily obscured by the ‘settings’ screen and/or a radio volume graphic box if the rider changes those settings prior to shifting into reverse, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. This could increase the risk of property damage or injury to nearby pedestrians in the event the driver does not check surroundings through traditional means. Correction: Dealers will update the vehicle software.

  On certain vehicles, the pin and retaining clip that join the brake pedal to the master cylinder may have been installed incorrectly. This could allow the separation of the brake pedal from the master cylinder, resulting in a complete loss of brake function and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the connection between the brake pedal and master cylinder and repair as necessary.

  On certain vehicles, the seat belt buckle and seat back may dislodge from seat base and/or the seat sliders may not latch properly. If the seat were to slide unexpectedly, vehicle control could be affected, and/or in the event of a crash, if the seat belt buckle and seat back were to dislodge from the seat base, an occupant may not be properly restrained, which would increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the weld of the seat belt bracket and inspect the seat slider latching function. If a weld is found incomplete or missing, or if a slider does not latch properly, the seat base will be replaced. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2019136.   Polaris Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Slingshot motorcycles. Excessive electrical current may damage the battery fuse holder terminals.

  Risk: Damaged terminals may result in the loss of forward and rear lighting, instrument cluster gauges, or power steering assist. Any of these scenarios increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the battery fuse block terminals and relocate the 50 amp chassis fuse, free of charge. The recall began October 24, 2019. Owners may contact Polaris customer service at 1-855-863-2284. Polaris's number for this recall is T-19-01.

• SEAT BELTS#19V185000March 7, 2019

  Polaris Industries, Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Slingshot motorcycles. The driver-seat and passenger-seat seat belt and seat back anchoring bracket may have been improperly welded. Additionally, differences in the seat assembly may prevent proper latching of the seat slider, allowing the driver's seat to move unexpectedly.

  Risk: If the seat belt buckle or seat back detach from the seat base, there would be an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash. If the driver's seat unexpectedly moves, it can cause the driver to lose control of the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat belt bracket and seat back welds, and the seat slider latching function. If the weld is missing or incomplete, or if the slider doesn't latch properly, the seat bases will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began April 11, 2019. • SEAT BELTS:FRONT:RETRACTOR#18V531000August 15, 2018

  Polaris Industries, Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Polaris Slingshot S, Slingshot SL, Slingshot GT LE, and Slingshot SLR motorcycles. In the event of a crash, the seatbelt retractor on the side opposite of the impact may separate, preventing the seatbelt from locking.

  Risk: In the event of a crash, if the seat belt does not lock, the occupant may not be properly restrained, increasing their risk of injury.

  Remedy: Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will install a kit that prevents the retractor from separating in the event of a crash, free of charge. The recall began August 28, 2018. Owners may contact Polaris customer service at 1-855-863-2284. Polaris' number for this recall is T-18-03.

  Polaris Industries, Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Polaris Slingshot, Slingshot SL, Slingshot SLR, Slingshot SL Icon, and Slingshot GT LE motorcycles. The brake pedals may have been incorrectly installed, allowing the brake pedal to separate from the brake master cylinder.

  Risk: If the brake pedal separates from the brake master cylinder, it would cause a loss of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the engagement of the brake pedal retaining clip and reassemble it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began on June 5, 2018.
