Issue: On certain side-by-side UTV's, the seat belt retractors may be missing a part. This could cause the seat belt to not to work as designed. As a result, the seat belt may not properly restrain a passenger in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury to passengers in a crash. Corrective Actions: Consumers should immediately stop using their vehicle and call their dealer to schedule an inspection. Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners by mail, and email, if available. Polaris will instruct owners and dealers to check the lot code of the UTV's seat belts. Owners should stop using their vehicle if the lot code is within the identified range. The corrective actions for this recall are being finalized.

  • Steering#2018476

    71 units affected

On certain side-by-side ATV’s, the front lower control arms may not have been welded properly and could separate. This could affect steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the front lower control arms.

  • Engine#2016326

    3,001 units affected

Certain side-by-side UTV’s were manufactured with insufficient shielding between the engine exhaust and the rearmost seat close-off panel. During prolonged vehicle operation at low speeds the air flow in the engine/exhaust area could be reduced, and may result in elevated engine/exhaust compartment temperatures, which could cause the seat close-off panel to overheat which may pose a fire hazard causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install and heat shield service kit. Note: In the interim, owners are advised to stop riding their UTV until the defect has been repaired.
