On certain motorhomes, the door lock actuators on the baggage doors could malfunction and overheat if the battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts. This could cause melting of the actuator and the inner door material, increasing the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a new low voltage disconnect module and wire harness. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2015-562. Vehicles repaired as part of the previous recall will require re-inspection and repair.

On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected power steering hose with one that has a higher temperature rating.

On certain motorhomes equipped with a heavier weight adjustable foot pedal, the brake activation signal to the motorhome’s brake lights and to certain towed devices may not deactivate when the motorhome service brakes are released. This may cause the motorhome brake lights to potentially remain illuminated, which would result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions. Additionally, if the brakes of a towed vehicle were to remained engaged, it could result in a loss of vehicle control. Both of these conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will replace the torsion spring of the pedal assembly with an improved spring.

If the latch accidently locked the door shut, there would be no means to open it from the inside which could potentially cause entrapment and/or injury to an individual. Correction: Dealers will install a new door latch that cannot be inadvertently locked and can only be activated from the exterior of the refrigerator after the door is closed.
