Issue: On certain motorhomes, a problem with brake pressure switch could cause the brake lamps to turn on without pressing the brake pedal. Safety Risk: Brake lamps that turn on without the brake pedal being pressed could cause others not to recognize when the motorhome is braking or not braking and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Spartan Service Center to replace the brake pressure switch.

Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the remote fuel filter hoses may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, a fuel hose could disconnect and fuel could leak. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with certain L9 diesel engines. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the remote fuel filter hoses.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, a problem with the steering gear could cause pressure to build within the system. If this happens, there could be a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to an authorized Shyft Group repair facility to replace the steering gear.
