  • Label#2021016

    2 units affected

Issue: The alterer's label affixed to certain vehicles contains incorrect information. Specifically, the seating capacity is listed as 6, the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is indicated as 3,286 kg (7,244lbs), and the front and rear gross axle weight ratings (GAWR) are listed as 1,509 kg (3,327lbs). This could lead to overloading of the vehicle that could affect steering, handling, braking, and acceleration. Safety Risk: Overloading of the vehicle could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: INKAS has notified the current owner in writing and will make arrangements to correct the non-compliance conditions on each vehicle.

  • Lights And Instruments#2018317

    106 units affected

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. In the case of a rear turn signal failure, an operator would not be alerted by an increase in the flasher rate. This does not meet the performance requirements of the standard and could result in other road users not being aware of a driver’s intended actions, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the Body Control Module software.

  • Structure#2018078

    437 units affected

On certain vehicles, in the event of a severe rear impact, the driver's seat may disengage from the seat track. This could result the driver not being properly restrained in the event of a rear collision, which could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will install a seat track reinforcement kit over the existing seat track.
