Issue: On certain vehicle, the U-bolts that attach the rear axle to the suspension may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the axle could slide on the leaf spring. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control. Safety Risk: A loss of control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the leaf spring U-bolts.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the reinforcements on the B-pillar(s) may not have been properly welded. As a result, the front seat belt height adjuster(s) could fail in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the B-pillar(s).
