    Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel delivery module could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fuel delivery module.

    Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster not to work. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, fuel gauge, indicator lamps, and warning messages. In addition, the warning sounds may not work. Safety Risk: Warnings and malfunction tell-tale information that does not display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the instrument cluster software.

  • Electrical#2023077

    41 units affected

    Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with front swivel-seats, the wiring harness under the seat may not be properly secured. As a result, the airbag wires could be damaged when the seat is moved. If this happens, the side airbag may not work properly in a crash. Note: If the wiring to the side airbag is damaged, the SRS light will stay on in the instrument cluster. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the routing of the seat wiring harness and attach it correctly.

    Issue: In certain conditions, the vehicle could roll-away after placing the transmission in the "P" (Park) position if the parking brake is not set. Note: You should always follow the parking procedure in the owner's manual, and set the parking brake each time that you park. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that rolls away could create a risk of a crash or an injury. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the software of various control units.
