Issue: On a small number of trailers, the liftgate may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the liftgate could fail. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Waltco slide liftgate model ZS-33 or ZS-34. Safety Risk: A liftgate that fails could increase the risk of injury to the operator and nearby people. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Manac advises you not to use the liftgate until the recall repairs have been completed. Manac will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Hiab USA Inc. to arrange for the replacement of the liftgate cylinder pins.

Issue: On certain trailers equipped with a Dexter Smart-Steer 2.0 self-steering axle, the steer arm that attaches to the knuckle could break. If this happens, the steer arm could fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: Parts that fall from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Manac Inc. will notify owners by mail and instruct you to make arrangements with a Dexter authorized service facility to replace the steer arms on your trailer.

If this happens, the steer arm or the bolts could detach from the trailer. Safety Risk: Parts that detach from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Manac will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a Dexter Canada authorized service facility to weld the steer arms to the knuckles.

On certain trailers, the rivets which secure the external aluminium rub rails may shear. Correction: Aluminium rivets will be replaced with stainless steel ones.

  • Suspension#2015403

    23 units affected

On certain trailers equipped with SAF-Holland CBX series suspensions, the suspension arm pivot bolts may break. This could affect axle alignment and potentially result in suspension failure, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace pivot bolts.

  • Brakes#2015043

    216 units affected

On certain vehicles, brake chamber diaphragm(s) may not be properly seated. This could lead to brake drag, causing brake overheating or unintended spring brake application. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Customers will be provided with repair parts and instructions.

  • Suspension#2014346

    85 units affected
