Issue: On certain trucks, the center roof marker light connector(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the center roof marker light(s) may not work. Safety Risk: A roof marker light that doesn't work could make the truck less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the center roof marker light(s).

  • Wheels#2026265

Issue: On certain trucks, the wheel nut(s) could loosen and cause the wheel(s) to detach. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a wheel that separates could create a road hazard for others. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Mack advises you not to drive your truck until the recall repairs have been completed. Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealership to arrange for an inspection of the wheels and hubs. Any damaged parts will be replaced.

Issue: On certain trucks, the connector(s) for the rear brake modulator(s) may not have proper wiring protection. As a result, the rear brake modulator(s) could short circuit and cause a loss of antilock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC). Safety Risk: A loss of ABS and ESC could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear brake modulator(s). Issue: On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the trailer turn signal lights not to work when towing. Note: This problem would cause an error message to display on the instrument panel. Safety Risk: Turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes and could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Mack advises you to test the trailer turn signals before driving, until the recall repairs are completed. Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

  • Accessories#2025642

    34 units affected

Issue: On certain trucks, the load lock clamps installed behind the cab could fail. As a result, the load lock bars could become loose and separate from the truck. Safety Risk: A load lock bar that separates could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash or injury. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the load lock clamps.

  • Lights And Instruments#2025640

    46 units affected

Issue: On certain trucks, the automatic high beams may not switch to low beams automatically. As a result, the trucks may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: High beams that stay on could cause glare for oncoming drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: To reduce the safety risk, Mack recommends you switch manually between the low beams and high beams until the recall repairs have been completed. Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
