  • Structure#2023433

    3 units affected

Issue: On a small number of 5 & 6 horse triple-axle trailers, the axle carriers were made with metal that's too thin. As a result, the axle carrier could collapse and the tires could contact the floor in the horse area. If this happens, the tires could fail. Safety risk: An axle carrier failure or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lakota advises not to use your trailer until the recall repairs have been completed. Lakota will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

  • Structure#2023058

    10 units affected

Issue: On a small number of trailers, the vaulted ceiling over the bed in the gooseneck area wasn't installed correctly. As a result, the ceiling could detach and fall inside the trailer. Safety Risk: A ceiling that falls suddenly could create the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Lakota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership or service facility to attach the ceiling correctly.

  • Structure#2018509

    26 units affected

On certain travel trailers, the roof vents for the refrigerator may be blocked with insulation. This could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and repair as necessary.

  • Structure#2018214

    18 units affected

On certain trailers, the bolts used to install the rear ramps, side ramps and ramp doors may break. This could result in the ramps and/or ramp doors to potentially come loose while the trailer is in motion, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install different bolts to ensure the ramps and ramp doors are secured to the trailer.

  • Wheels#2016363

    2 units affected

On certain trailers outfitted with 17.5 inch wheels, the wheels may have pin holes. This could allow air to slowly leak from the tires, which may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected wheels.
