Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may be defective. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system and perform a leak test.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the hitch coupler may not be fully welded. As a result, the hitch coupler could fail while driving. If this happens, the trailer could separate from the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer that separates from the tow vehicle can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, replace the coupler.

Safety Risk: A propane leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

Corrective Action: KZRV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to have weight added to the trailer tongue.

If the rack is damaged, it will be replaced.

If the circuit breaker is incorrect, the microwave/water heater circuit could overheat, which would increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the 15/20 amp circuit breaker with the correct 15/15 amp circuit breaker.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. This could increase the risk of shock or electrocution to persons operating appliances in the outdoor kitchen. Correction: Dealers will replace the existing 110-volt outlet with a GFCI outlet.

Certain travel trailers may have been manufactured without the required 2 amp fuse that provides over current protection to the awning light circuit. Without proper over current protection, in an overload condition, the wiring could overheat and could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the awning light circuit, and install the 2 amp fuse if necessary.
