On certain trailers, the axle bearings may not have been properly installed. This could cause the bearings to overheat and fail, potentially resulting in wheel separation. A wheel separating from the vehicle could cause a loss of control and a crash. In addition, the wheel assembly could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will repair or replace the axle hubs and bearings as necessary.

On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain travel trailers, two carbon monoxide detectors were installed instead of one smoke detector and one carbon monoxide detector. This results in the vehicle having no smoke detector, which could increase the risk of injury in the event of a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace one carbon monoxide detector with a smoke detector.

This could prevent egress from the vehicle in an emergency situation, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Owners will be given instructions on how to remove the labels.

On certain travel trailers and fifth wheels, the Norco slide room mechanisms could be defective. The drive train that controls the inward and outward motion of the room could have been manufactured with incorrectly rated screws. If the screws were to fail, the slide room could extend while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective screws with correctly rated screws.

On certain travel trailers during assembly, a 12 volt mini breaker was located too close to the propane cylinder. If the propane cylinder rubs against the rubber boot of the breaker, it could wear through and cause a short. This could result in an increased risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will relocate the breaker away from the propane cylinder.

On certain travel trailers, the hitch couplers may be lacking an indentation on the forward edge of the coupler. If the coupler is lacking the indent, it will lead to an increased risk of trailer separation from the hitch ball while towing. A towed unit separating from the towing vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Owners will be advised to inspect the hitch coupler for the correct stamping. If the hitch coupler is not formed correctly Keystone RV will make arrangements to replace it. *** IMPORTANT - DO NOT tow the trailer until it is confirmed you have a correctly formed coupler ***

Certain fifth wheel and travel trailers originally equipped with white (spoke or modular design) steel wheels may have poor weld quality between the wheel center disk and outer rim. The wheels which have a six (6) hole bolt pattern were manufactured by Xingmin Wheel and bear the rim stamp "07 10 06 Z" or "08 10 16 B" on the back side of the rim. The poor weld could cause the outer rim portion of the wheel to fail. A wheel separating from the vehicle could cause a loss of control and a crash. In addition, the errant wheel assembly could strike a vehicle, property, or a bystander. Both problems could cause property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the wheels for the specific rim identification markings and replace as necessary. Note: For vehicles with the aluminum wheel option, the recall only applies to the spare tire if equipped with above-mentioned wheel

On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the Atwood 35-series range oven, model number beginning with RV1735, RV2135, RA1735, or RA2135, may develop a small crack within the line delivering gas to the oven cavity burner. A propane leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire and/or explosion, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the oven supply tube.

These cracks can propagate and cause the spindle to detach from the axle tube, resulting in the separation of the wheel end from the vehicle. This occurrence could cause a crash resulting in serious bodily injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected axles.

On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers equipped with a MiChef brand microwave oven model EM925RZT, the glass in the microwave oven's door may not have been properly adhered to the door during the assembly process. Should the glass fall out while a person is near the microwave, an increased risk of personal injury will result. Correction: Dealers will replace the microwave oven.
