05
  • Structure#2023138

    21 units affected

Issue: On certain RV trailers, an emergency exit window may not have been installed. As a result, you may not be able to escape from the trailer in an emergency if the entry door is blocked. Safety Risk: A missing emergency exit could increase the risk of injury in an emergency. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify the owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, install an emergency exit window.

  • Accessories#2022447

    2,565 units affected

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

  • Accessories#2022296

    79 units affected

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the base for the dinette table may not have been properly welded. As a result, the welds could break and cause the table to fall suddenly. Safety Risk: A table that falls suddenly could injure a person. Corrective Actions: Keystone RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to replace the dinette table. Keystone recommends not to use the table until it is replaced.

  • Structure#2022161

    32 units affected

Issue: On certain Cougar 29FKD travel trailers, the tires could contact an outrigger while driving. This could damage the tire and cause a tire failure. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your travel trailer to a dealership to modify the outrigger to improve tire clearance. The dealer will add an additional outrigger between the two tires (over the center spring hanger) and inspect the tires for damage. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should unload all cargo and empty the holding tanks (fresh water, grey water, black water, and water heater) and take your trailer to a dealership for repair.

  • Electrical#2022131

    3,854 units affected

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wiring for the solar controller may not have been installed correctly. Under certain conditions, this could cause the 12 V DC electrical system not to work properly (including the carbon monoxide and propane gas detector). If this happens, you would not be alerted if there was a buildup of propane gas and/or carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Note: This recall affects trailers with a SolarFlex 200 or 400i system. Safety Risk: A buildup of propane gas inside the trailer could create the risk of an explosion or fire. A buildup of carbon monoxide could result in carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and give you directions for how to use the VictronConnect app to check the battery voltage. This can help you ensure that the wiring for the solar controller is connected correctly. If it is not, they will ask you to bring your trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring. If the VictronConnect app shows that the battery voltage is over 14.4 V, you should disconnect the battery from the solar power and take the trailer to a dealer for service.
