  • Steering#2020050

    2,147 units affected

Issue: On certain side-by-side UTV's, the connection between the steering shaft and steering gear could wear and become loose. Over time, this could cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Do not drive your side-by-side UTV until the recall repairs have been completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the steering shaft and pinch bolts.

  • Engine#2019671

    1,783 units affected

Issue: On certain side-by-side UTV's, the owner's manual instructs users to inspect the engine and exhaust areas often. Any debris that is found should be removed. If this is not done regularly, debris can collect on the exhaust manifold. Safety Risk: Debris on a hot exhaust system could catch fire. Corrective Actions: Do not drive your side-by-side UTV until the recall repairs have been completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to eliminate the catch tank and install an additional exhaust manifold cover.

  • Engine#2019670

    1,783 units affected

Issue: On certain side-by-side UTV's, the owner's manual instructs users to inspect and clean the air cleaner/breather tube regularly. If this is not done, water in the catch tank and breather tube can freeze and block the tube. This can cause increased pressure in the engine crankcase, and result in an oil leak from the engine head area, near the exhaust system. Safety Risk: An oil leak onto a hot exhaust system could cause a fire. Corrective Actions: Do not drive your side-by-side UTV until the recall repairs have been completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to eliminate the catch tank and install an additional exhaust manifold cover.

  • Fuel System#2019046

    220 units affected

Issue: On certain Mule PRO-MX models, pressure in the fuel tank could cause the fuel cap gasket to move out of position when opened. If the fuel cap is put back on with the gasket out of place, it could tear and cause a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for replacement of the fuel cap gasket.

  • Engine#2019045

    220 units affected

Issue: On certain Mule PRO-MX models, the engine oil cooler hoses can separate and cause an oil leak. A loss of engine oil may also cause an engine failure. Safety Risk: On oil leak could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for replacement of the oil cooler hoses.
