Transport Canada recalls

05
  • Visual System#2024178

    16 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to replace the rearview camera. The dealer will also modify the rearview camera wiring and install a software update, as necessary.

  • Electrical#2024141

    113 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the high-voltage battery relay contactors could become stuck in the closed position. As a result, the battery pack could overheat while charging. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to update the high-voltage battery software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-voltage battery pack.

  • Accessories#2024053

    13 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the housing for the retractable awning's gearbox motor could crack. As a result, the awning could extend on its own while driving. Safety Risk: An awning that extends while driving could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to add additional support to the housing for the retractable awning's gearbox motor.

  • Fuel System#2023268

    139 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, a fuel hose on the generator may not be properly secured and could leak fuel. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with an Onan QG 2800i generator. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel hose between the generator fuel filter and injection pump module. The fuel hose and clamps will be replaced, if necessary. To reduce the safety risk, Jayco advises that you should not use the generator until the recall inspection is completed.

  • Heater And Defroster#2022710

    5 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, a software problem could cause the controls for the ventilation control system (HVAC) not to work. As a result, you may not be able to defog or defrost the windshield or windows. Safety Risk: A windshield that cannot be defogged or defrosted can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford dealership to update the remote climate control module software.
