  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the power steering pressure line may not be properly connected to the brake booster. As a result, power steering fluid could leak and cause a loss of power steering and power brake assist. Note: Vehicles that were inspected under Transport Canada recall No. 2022-224 also require this repair. Safety Risk: A loss of power brakes can cause a sudden increase in brake pedal force and lead to an increase in stopping distance. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to replace the power steering pressure line and brake booster line.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes built on a Ford chassis, the bolts that attach the brake rotor to the rear wheel-hub may not have been tightened correctly. As result, the brake rotor could slip and fracture. If this happens, a wheel could separate from the vehicle. Note: This problem may cause the ABS warning lamp to turn on, and a vibration while braking. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to inspect the serial number on the rear axle. If the serial number is within the affected range, the dealer will check if the rear axle rotor/hub assembly bolts were installed correctly, and replace the rotor/hub assembly if required.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, paint on the fuel tank seam could peel off. Over time, the fuel tank could corrode and create a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to replace the dinette seat belt brackets.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with a Dometic propane gas stove, there could be an odour of propane gas after a short period of use. If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. To reduce the safety risk, Jayco recommends that you should not use the propane system or any propane appliance in the motorhome until the recall repairs have been completed.

Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to install a newly designed bracket to the hydraulic leveling system pump and reservoir.

  On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. The shower door installed in the vehicle does not meet the requirements of the standard, which could enhance the spread of a flame in the event of a fire. This could result in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the shower door with a material that meets the requirements of the standard.

  On certain fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly.
