Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

Issue: On certain travel trailers, an incorrect spring hanger was installed during the assembly process. As a result, the tires could contact the bottom of the trailer while driving. This could cause tire damage and result in poor vehicle handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: A sudden change in vehicle handling or a tire failure could increase the risk of a loss of control, and may result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the spring hangers and inspect the tires for any damage.

Issue: On certain travel trailers equipped with frameless windows, the glass may not be properly attached to the metal hinges. As a result, the glass could separate from the hinge and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: A window that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to inspect the adhesive bonding on the window glass. Dealers will replace the glass, if necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the microwave vent hood does not vent outside the trailer. If the range is operated without a proper vent, this could allow a build-up of carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Safety Risk: A build-up of carbon monoxide could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealer to install a vent to the outside of the trailer.

Issue: On certain fifth-wheel trailers equipped with a MORryde rotating pin box, the bolts for the wedge may be too short. This could cause the wedge to disconnect from the pin box. If this happens, the trailer could swing and come into contact with the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer that contacts the tow vehicle could create a risk of injury and/or crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take the trailer to a dealer to have the pin box bolts inspected and replaced as required.

This could allow the propane tank to become unsecured and come out of its compartment, which could result in a fire or explosion causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective steel straps.

If this occurs, the durability of the pin box spindle could be reduced over time, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a spacer to prevent the metal to metal contact.

Under certain circumstances, it could cause the wires to melt and/or short to ground increasing the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will tie the unprotected circuit to an existing 30 amp breaker.

On certain travel trailers, the certification label on the towing hitch that indicates the maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Tongue Weight for the trailer was omitted. This could lead to vehicle overloading, potentially causing damage to trailer and affecting vehicle handling, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation. Alternatively, owners can visit a Jayco dealer to have the new certification label applied.

The labels incorrectly indicate a tire size of ST235/75R15D while the correct tire size is ST225/75R15D. As a result, the vehicle may inadvertently be fitted with incorrect replacement tires. Overloaded tires may lead to poor vehicle handling characteristics, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.
