Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024-655. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash.   Issue: On certain vehicles, brake fluid may be present in the brake pressure switch and wire harness. As a result, the brake switch could short circuit. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 23517 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-321). Certain vehicles repaired under that recall require a second repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit can cause wiring to overheat and create the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, International Motors advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to an authorized service facility to replace the brake pressure switch and wire harness.

  Issue: On certain vehicles with hydraulic brakes, the brake pressure switch could leak. If this happens, the brake switch could short circuit. If there is brake fluid found on the brake pressure switch connector or fuse, the wire harness will also be replaced.

  Issue: On certain trucks equipped with an automatic transmission, when the engine RPM increases for the stationary power take off (PTO), it can overcome the parking brake if the transmission is in drive or reverse gear. As a result, the truck may move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the truck could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to update the engine control module (ECM) software to enable the PTO neutral interlock.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, the lock nuts for multiple front and rear suspension and steering parts may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the nut(s) could loosen. If this happens, there could be a sudden change in vehicle stability and/or a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering could create the risk of a crash. A sudden change in vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the affected hex flange lock nuts.

Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the engine control module.

  Issue: On certain trucks and buses, the steering gear may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, the steering gear could break and cause a loss of steering. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the serial number on the steering gear, and replace it, if necessary.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES#26V459000July 16, 2026

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021, 2023-2027 MV, and 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The battery interconnect cable may contact the auxiliary stud and hold down bracket, causing a short circuit.

  Risk: A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

  Remedy: Dealers will install plastic saddles onto the positive interconnect cable, install wind laces and a J-bolt between each battery, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 8, 2026. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26510. This recall replaces and expands NHTSA Recall 25V534. Vehicles previously repaired under 25V534 will need the new remedy completed.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE#25V817000November 25, 2025

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2016 7600, 2016-2023 Lonestar, 2018 8600, 2018-2023 LT, 2021-2026 MV, 2022-2023 RH, 2023-2026 HX, and 2025-2026 HV vehicles. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

  Risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU, such as Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System, may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25525. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 12, 2026.

• SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FLUID#25V502000August 6, 2025

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2018 International 4000 Series 4300, 2017-2025 MV, 2018-2024 1300 FBC, 2018-2025 IC Bus TC, and 2024-2025 IC Bus CECB vehicles. The brake pressure switch assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch's electrical components and cause an electrical short-circuit.

  Risk: An electrical short in the brake pressure switch can overheat the circuit and increase the risk of a fire while driving or parked.

  Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will install a silicone black jumper harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25509. Vehicles previously repaired under 23V397 will need to have the new remedy completed.

• SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DISC:CALIPER#25V178000March 21, 2025

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2024 HV, 2020-2025 MV, and 2019 Workstar 7400 trucks. The caliper may contact a suspension spring or axle U-bolt and prevent the outer brake pad from functioning.

  Risk: A loss of outer brake pad function can extend the vehicle's stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will switch the left and right rear air disc brake calipers, replace the rear brake torque plates, and replace the brake pads, free of charge.   International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Lonestar, 2021-2025 RH, HV, MV, LT, HX, and 2022 PROSTAR vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

• SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:ABS WARNING LIGHT#23V370000May 25, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 International HV, HX, LoneStar, LT, MV, eMV, and RH trucks, and IC Bus CE, 2021-2023 IC Bus RE, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC Commercial Buses. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator light does not remain illuminated when a malfunction exists, and when the vehicle's ignition switch is on, and the vehicle is in motion. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risk: An ABS indicator light that fails to remain illuminated will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Towing variant vehicles under this campaign will not be repaired under recall 24V-8918. Dealers will update the software, free of charge. • EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BACK UP LIGHTS#23V353000May 18, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2000-2003 International 8100, 2001-2003 International 9100i, 2001-2007 International 9400i, 2001-2010 International 9200i, 2002-2007, 2009 International 8500, 2003-2007, 2013 International 9900i, 2003-2018 International 8600, 2004, 2007 International 9900iX, 2008-2018 International ProStar, 2010-2011, 2013, 2016 International LoneStar, 2011-2012, 2016 International 4400, 2017-2024 International LT, 2018-2024 International RH, 2019-2021 International LS, 2019-2024 International MV vehicles. The back-up lights offer low visibility when the vehicle is in reverse and bobtail mode. Also, the vehicles have not been equipped with additional unobstructed back-up lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

  Risk: Low visibility or obstructed back up lights may not alert other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International MV trucks. The driveshaft tube seam weld may separate or tear, resulting in drive line separation and a sudden loss of drive power.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International HV and 2023-2024 International MV vehicles. The rear axle spring wedge shim may have been incorrectly installed, which can cause U-joint failure and result in driveshaft separation.

  Risk: Driveshaft separation can cause a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International HV and 2023-2024 International MV vehicles. The assembly bolts used to attach the battery box to the mounting bracket may be loose or missing.

  Risk: Loose or missing bolts can allow the battery box to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2024 International HV, International MV trucks, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC commercial buses. When the parking brake is applied, the automatic transmission is still in drive or reverse position, and the stationary power take-off (PTO) switch is engaged by the operator, the engine may rev and overcome the parking brake's ability to keep the vehicle from moving.

  Risk: Unexpected vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

  Remedy: Dealers will update the Cummins ECM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2023.   Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2022 International CV, 2022-2023 International HV, 2023 IC 1300 FBC, CE, RE, TC, International MV, HX, LT, RH, and LoneStar vehicles. The hex flange lock nuts, used in the suspension and steering joints, were improperly heat treated and may lose tension over time.

  Risk: A loss of tension in the steering and suspension joints may lead to steering instability and increase the risk of a crash.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2023 International MV vehicles. The high voltage positive cables that connect the battery packs to the manual service disconnects (MSD) may have been mislabeled.

  Risk: A misidentified electrical cable may be mistaken for a de-energized cable by a technician or first responder, increasing the risk of electrical shock and injury.

  Remedy: Dealers will reinstall the battery cables and replace the associated warning labels, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2023. • WHEELS:HUB#22V834000November 10, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International MV vehicles. The locking clips of the wheel hub retaining nut may have been damaged during installation, which may cause the wheel hub to loosen and separate from the axle housing.

  Risk: A wheel hub that separates from the axle housing may increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers inspected the hub retaining nuts for damage and replaced them, as necessary, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been remedied and therefore no owner notification letters will be mailed. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825.   Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International LT, International Lonestar, International MV, International HV, International HX, and IC Bus TC Commercial buses. The engine control module (ECM) may experience an internal electrical short-circuit, causing the engine to stall.

  Risk: An unexpected engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX, HV, LoneStar, LT, MV, RH, IC TC Commercial Bus, and 2022 International WorkStar vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.

  Risk: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will inspect the steering gear serial numbers, and replace the steering gears as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2022.   Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International MV, International HV, and 2022 IC RE commercial buses built without a forward radar unit. The warning label notifying the driver that the collision mitigation system is inoperative may be missing.

  Risk: Failure to warn the driver that the collision mitigation system is inoperative increases the risk of a crash.
