  Issue: On certain trucks, poor signal strength could cause the electronic control unit (ECU) to stop working or not to work properly. As a result, some safety systems may not work, including the antilock braking system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, active cruise control and the collision mitigation system. Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024-655. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software.

  Issue: On certain trucks, the brakes may release too slowly when the brake pedal is released. Canadian regulations require brakes to release within a certain time. Safety Risk: Brakes that release too slowly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace hoses in the air brake system. The dealer will also install a quick release valve, if necessary.

  Issue: On a small number of trucks, when the parking switch is pulled on the dashboard, the park valve module may stick in the un-parked position. If this happens the parking brake would not apply, and the truck could move suddenly. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a Bendix Intellipark electronic parking brake. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the truck could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

  Issue: Over time, the mounting brackets for the front grille surround (trim) could loosen or detach. If this happens, the grille surround could detach from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A grille surround that separates from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and advise you to inspect the grille surround periodically, and repair it if necessary. Navistar will send you a second notice when the replacement parts are available, and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the grille surround assembly.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, the lock nuts for multiple front and rear suspension and steering parts may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the nut(s) could loosen. If this happens, there could be a sudden change in vehicle stability and/or a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering could create the risk of a crash. A sudden change in vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the affected hex flange lock nuts.

  Issue: On certain trucks, a problem in the engine control module (ECM) could cause a short circuit. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the engine control module.

  Issue: On certain trucks and buses, the steering gear may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, the steering gear could break and cause a loss of steering. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the serial number on the steering gear, and replace it, if necessary.

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2016 7600, 2016-2023 Lonestar, 2018 8600, 2018-2023 LT, 2021-2026 MV, 2022-2023 RH, 2023-2026 HX, and 2025-2026 HV vehicles. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

  Risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU, such as Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System, may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25525. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 12, 2026.

• SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:SUPPLY:QUICK RELEASE VALVE#24V880000November 21, 2024

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2022-2025 HX vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risk: A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.

  Remedy: International will install larger air lines or a quick release valve (QRV) as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825.

  International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Lonestar, 2021-2025 RH, HV, MV, LT, HX, and 2022 PROSTAR vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

  Risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

• SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:ABS WARNING LIGHT#23V370000May 25, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 International HV, HX, LoneStar, LT, MV, eMV, and RH trucks, and IC Bus CE, 2021-2023 IC Bus RE, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC Commercial Buses. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator light does not remain illuminated when a malfunction exists, and when the vehicle's ignition switch is on, and the vehicle is in motion. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risk: An ABS indicator light that fails to remain illuminated will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Towing variant vehicles under this campaign will not be repaired under recall 24V-8918. Dealers will update the software, free of charge. • STRUCTURE:BODY#23V170000March 16, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2020-2024 International HX vehicles. The grille surround may corrode and detach from the truck.

  Risk: A detached grille surround can fall to the roadway and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will replace the grille surround, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 21, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 23507.

• PARKING BRAKE#23V171000March 16, 2023

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International HV, HX, LT, RH, and Lonestar vehicles. The Intellipark Tractor Park Valve Module (PVM) may intermittently become stuck in the un-parked position and fail to move into the park position when the park switch is activated.

  Risk: A PVM that fails to move into park can cause a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Bendix will replace the Intellipark PVM. Owner notification letters were mailed November 3, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 23508.

• SUSPENSION:CRITICAL FASTENERS#22V869000November 23, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2022 International CV, 2022-2023 International HV, 2023 IC 1300 FBC, CE, RE, TC, International MV, HX, LT, RH, and LoneStar vehicles. The hex flange lock nuts, used in the suspension and steering joints, were improperly heat treated and may lose tension over time.

  Risk: A loss of tension in the steering and suspension joints may lead to steering instability and increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will replace the hex flange lock nuts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 20, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 22524.

• STEERING:LINKAGES:TIE ROD ASSEMBLY#22V711000September 22, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX vehicles. The tie rod clamps may have been improperly heat-treated, causing them to fail and allowing the tie rods to separate.

  Risk: Tie rod separation can result in a sudden loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will replace both tie rod end clamps, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2022. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 22520.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM)#22V609000August 10, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 International LT, International Lonestar, International MV, International HV, International HX, and IC Bus TC Commercial buses. The engine control module (ECM) may experience an internal electrical short-circuit, causing the engine to stall.

  Risk: An unexpected engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Cummins will replace the ECM. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2022. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825.

• STEERING#22V428000June 16, 2022

  Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX, HV, LoneStar, LT, MV, RH, IC TC Commercial Bus, and 2022 International WorkStar vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.

  Risk: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will inspect the steering gear serial numbers, and replace the steering gears as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2022.
