Issue: On certain trucks, the recall repairs completed during recall 23511 and/or 25507 (Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-238 and/or 2025-336) may not have been done correctly. As a result, another repair is required. On certain trucks, brake fluid may be present in the brake pressure switch and wire harness. As a result, the brake switch could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can cause wiring to overheat and create the risk of a fire, even while the truck is parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, International Motors advises that you should park your truck outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to replace the wire harness.

Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 23511 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-238). Additionally, certain trucks repaired under that recall require a second repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit can cause wiring to overheat and create the risk of a fire, even while the truck is parked and turned off. Issue: On certain vehicles, the lock nuts for multiple front and rear suspension and steering parts may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the nut(s) could loosen. If this happens, there could be a sudden change in vehicle stability and/or a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering could create the risk of a crash. A sudden change in vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the affected hex flange lock nuts.

Issue: On certain trucks, the warning light for the anti-lock brake system (ABS) may not turn on when there is a system fault. As a result, the driver may not get warning that the ABS and automatic traction control (ATC) systems are turned off. Safety Risk: If a driver is not warned that the ABS and ATC systems are not working, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to an International dealer to update the software for the body control module (BCM).

Issue: A problem with the engine-block heater cable or the terminals that connect the heater cable to the block heater could cause a short circuit. Note: This problem only affects trucks equipped with a International diesel 6.6 litre engine and the optional engine-block heater cable. Safety Risk: A short circuit could cause damage to engine components and create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Stop use of your engine-block heater immediately. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the block heater with a redesigned part. Do not use your engine-block heater until the repairs are performed.
