On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Kongsberg Power Products Systems I, Inc., (KPPS) is submiting this notice of defect on behalf of Monaco Coach regarding certain motorhomes equipped with an adjustable brake pedal assembly. The brake pedal arm may loosen, rotate around its shaft, and swing in front of the accelerator pedal. Should the brake pedal arm contact and engage the accelerator pedal, it could result in extended stopping distances and a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: KPPS will provide a clamp assembly kit along with installation instructions.

On certain vehicles equipped with an adjustable brake pedal assembly, a drive pin that is below specification may become disengaged from the brake arm, causing separation or loosening of the pedal from the remainder of the assembly. If the drive pin becomes disengaged from the brake pedal assembly it could result in a loss of vehicle braking function and/or cause the brake pedal to interfere with the throttle pedal. Either condition could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary pin retention system.

REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2009-2010 and 2012-2014 Holiday Rambler Ambassador, 2010 and 2013-2014 Endeavor, 2009-2010 Neptune, 2010 Scepter, and 2011 Trip diesel motorhomes, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Risk: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: REV will notify owners, and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 18, 2018. THE IOTA ITS-50R 50 AMP AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH BUS BAR AND/OR ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MAY BE INADEQUATE TO HANDLE THE ELECTRICAL LOAD.
Risk: ELECTRICAL OVERLOAD OF THE TRANSFER SWITCH COULD LEAD TO OVERHEATING, AND A FIRE, INCREASING THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH.

THE DRIVE PIN WHICH SECURES THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM TO THE BALANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY MAY BECOME DISENGAGED, THIS MAY CAUSE A REDUCTION IN VEHICLE BRAKING AND/OR CAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MOVE OUT OF POSITION AND INTERFERE WITH THROTTLE PEDAL FUNCTION.
Risk: A REDUCTION IN BRAKING OR INTERFERENCE WITH THE THROTTLE PEDAL COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
