Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the circuit board(s) for the rooftop ventilation fans may not have been manufactured correctly and could overheat. Note: This recall only affects certain motorhomes equipped with MaxxAir rooftop ventilation fans. Safety Risk: A circuit board that overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the ventilation fan circuit board(s).

Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the bolts that secure the driver and front passenger seat bases may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the seats could move in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Action: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the bolts for the driver and front passenger seat bases.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the solar panel may not have been installed properly. As a result, the solar panel could loosen and separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A solar panel that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, secure the solar panel to the roof.

Issue: On small number of motorhomes, the entry steps could extend on their own while driving. Safety Risk: Steps that extend while driving could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to reposition the switch for the entry steps. Alternatively, you may contact Grand Design RV to arrange for a mobile service technician to complete the repairs.
