  • Electrical#2019548

    6 units affected

Issue: On certain travel trailers, the refrigerator wiring may not be properly connected to a circuit breaker. As a result, there may be no protection against an electrical overload or short circuit. Safety Risk: An electrical overload or short circuit on an unprotected circuit could create a risk of fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the refrigerator wiring. If the wires are not properly connected, they will be relocated to the correct terminals.

  • Structure#2019381

    236 units affected

Issue: On certain fifth-wheel trailers equipped with a MORryde rotating pin box, the bolts for the wedge may be too short. This could cause the wedge to disconnect from the pin box. If this happens, the trailer could swing and come into contact with the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer that contacts the tow vehicle could create a risk of injury and/or crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take the trailer to a dealer to have the pin box bolts inspected and replaced as required.

  • Accessories#2018586

    417 units affected

On certain travel trailers, the fasteners used to mount the awning arms to the sidewall are insufficient. This could allow the awning arms to detach from the sidewall, creating a risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install the correct number of fasteners of the correct length to properly secure the awning arms.

  • Lights And Instruments#2018031

    7 units affected

Certain travel trailers may fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The vehicles may have not been equipped with reflectors, contrary to requirements of the standard. This could decrease vehicle conspicuity and potentially increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Vehicles will be fitted with the missing reflectors.
