Issue: On certain RV trailers, the shock bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could break. If this happens, the bolts and washers could separate and fall from the trailer. Note: This recall only affects certain trailers equipped with Curt touring coil suspensions. Safety Risk: Parts that fall from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the shock bolts.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the hidden hinges for the ramp door may fail. If this happens, the ramp door could break when loading or unloading items into the rear garage area. Safety Risk: A ramp door that breaks when loading or unloading items in the rear garage could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River recommends that you shouldn't use the ramp door until the recall repairs have been completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to install support brackets for the ramp door.

As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall. Safety risk: A step that detaches could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, reattach the receiver for the removable step.

As a result, the wire may not have proper circuit protection and could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to rewire the affected wire to the breaker.

Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome or RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, disable or remove the LED light rings.

Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer or motorhome to a dealership to replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system and perform a leak test.

Issue: On certain travel trailers or motorhomes equipped with frameless windows, the glass may not be properly attached to the metal hinges. As a result, the glass could separate from the hinge and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: A window that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest river will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer or motorhome to a dealer to inspect the adhesive bonding on the window glass. Dealers will replace the glass, if necessary.

Safety Risk: When the stove is operated, the decorative window trim could catch fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the fabric window valance with a metal or aluminum (non-combustible) trim.

On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the HSM Quad Steps rivets that hold the steps together could loosen and fail. If the rivets were to fail, the steps could collapse which could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the rivets with stronger bolts.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Frigidaire KG series microwaves, a defect in the microwave oven keypad could cause the oven to activate without pressing any keys. This could result in excessive heat, smoke or possibly a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace affected keypads. In the interim, consumers should unplug their microwave ovens, if possible. If the consumer is unable to unplug the microwave, they should leave the door ajar until the microwave is replaced.
