Issue: This recall is for aftermarket replacement rear window glass produced by Vitro Automotriz. Certain rear window glass may not have been properly tempered. If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: This is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Safety Risk: Glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify consumers by mail and instruct them to inspect the designation code marked on the rear window glass. Products affected by this recall have the designation “DOT 287” along with the lettering “VMR” (Replacement Market) and a date code that is before July 2019. This information is printed on the bottom corner of the glass. Consumers should contact Vitro's customer service at 1-412-995-6457 or argbacklites@vitro.com to arrange for replacement of the glass.

The floor attachment locations for the 70% front passenger and center seat belt anchorages are outside of the parameters specified by the Standard. An improperly positioned seat belt anchorage may reduce the seat belt’s ability to properly restrain the occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install safety restraint anchorage point relocation bracket kits.

On certain trucks equipped with Bendix ATR-6 Antilock Traction Relay valves, in extremely cold conditions (at or below -18 degrees Celsius), internal ATR valve leakage can occur. This could cause unintended brake application, which could overheat the affected brakes and cause a fire. Also, in certain low traction conditions, unexpected brake application can cause a loss of vehicle control and a crash. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the cover assembly on the ATR valves.

The Antilock Brake System (ABS) module may have been incorrect programmed during vehicle assembly. As such, the trailer ABS fault indicator lamp may not illuminate if a trailer ABS fault occurs. A driver who is unaware that the trailer ABS is not functioning could lose control of the trailer under hard braking, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ABS module.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 and 2015 Ford F-650, and F-750 trucks manufactured February 14, 2011, to April 28, 2015, and equipped with a 70% fixed bench passenger seat. The affected vehicles have passenger seat belt anchorage floor attachments that are not installed in the correct location. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Risk: Seat belt anchors that are installed in an incorrect location may increase the risk of occupant injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will correct the seat belt anchorage locations, free of charge. The recall began on November 12, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15C09.

FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 F-650 TRUCKS, MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 2, 2011, THROUGH FEBRUARY 17, 2011, AND EQUIPPED WITH A MERITOR MFS08 FRONT STEER AXLE. THE BOLTS ATTACHING THE STEERING ARM TO THE STEERING KNUCKLE WERE NOT PROPERLY TIGHTENED. THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN THE STEERING ARM LOOSENING OR SEPARATING.
Risk: LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: FORD WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE STEERING ARM AND STEERING KNUCKLE, AND REPAIR THE VEHICLES AS NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 20, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER AT 1-866-436-7332.

AS SUCH, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, "AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS (ABS)."
Risk: AN AFFECTED VEHICLE MAY NOT DISPLAY A TRAILER ABS FAULT IN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK WARNING THE DRIVER OF AN EXISTING TRAILER ABS FAILURE. SUCH AN ABS FAILURE MAY RESULT IN TRAILER BRAKE LOCK-UP, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
