On certain motorhomes equipped with a Prestolite starter, the retaining ring on the starter shaft may break without warning, allowing the shaft to extend beyond the starter motor. The motor could continue to be energized and overheat or eventually be subject to an over current condition, which would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Spartan service centers will replace the starter.

On certain motorhomes, the exhaust tube could tear without warning. If this occurs, hot exhaust gas could blow against other components or materials increasing the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: A Spartan Motors authorized dealer will replace the exhaust tube.

On certain vehicles, exterior freezer power cables may come into contact with the freezer sliding rails.This could result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a wiring protector and retainer clips.

On certain vehicles, the windshield wiper linkage may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, the passenger-side wiper may stop functioning. Should this occur during a rainy/snowy day, it may compromise the driver's ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the incorrect wiper link.

On certain motorhomes, the wiper arms could detach from the vehicle. Loss of windshield wiping capability, should it occur during a rainy/snowy day, may compromise the driver's ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash. In addition, a wiper arm separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or a bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the shafts attaching the arms to the wiper linkage.
