Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the battery cables may not be the correct size, may not have been installed and/or tightened properly. As a result, the cables could overheat and/or short circuit. Safety Risk: A cable that overheats and/or short circuits can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the battery cables.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, a problem with the steering gear could cause pressure to build within the system. If this happens, there could be a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to an authorized Shyft Group repair facility to replace the steering gear.
