On certain motorhomes equipped with Lippert Components Inc. electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

On certain motorhomes built on a Spartan Chassis, steering link fastener nuts may have been insufficiently tightened at time of assembly. If these nuts were to loosen completely, the steering linkage could separate without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and tighten the nuts if necessary.

On certain vehicles, incorrect front wheel bearings may have been installed at time of vehicle assembly, which could result in excessive loading of the inner wheel bearing and wear of the inner brake pad. This could cause the vehicle to pull to one side and illuminate the ABS warning lamp. Continued operation in this state could increase the risk of a fire, causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect bearings and replace as necessary.
- Electrical#2013362

On certain vehicles, exterior freezer power cables may come into contact with the freezer sliding rails. This could result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a wiring protector and retainer clips.

On certain vehicles, the windshield wiper arms could separate from the linkage assembly. Loss of windshield wiping capability, should it occur during a rainy/snowy day, may compromise the driver’s ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the windshield wiper arms.

32 units affected
On certain vehicles, the windshield wiper linkage may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, the passenger-side wiper may stop functioning. Should this occur during a rainy/snowy day, it may compromise the driver's ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the incorrect wiper link.
- Visual System#2012195
18 units affected
On certain motorhomes, the wiper arms could detach from the vehicle. Loss of windshield wiping capability, should it occur during a rainy/snowy day, may compromise the driver's ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash. In addition, a wiper arm separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or a bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the shafts attaching the arms to the wiper linkage.

Certain motorhomes equipped with a Spartan chassis may experience an unintended increase in vehicle speed after the cruise control is set. Then, if the brake is applied and released, cruise control function may resume and the vehicle speed may continue to increase. An unexpected moderate increase in vehicle speed may go unnoticed by the driver and, depending on traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Owners are advised to contact Spartan Motor Chassis, Inc. at 800-393-8861, to locate an authorized repair facility. The remedy consists of replacing the cruise control switch and reprogramming the control module.
