Transport Canada recalls

04
  • Label#2024548

    314,717 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.

  • Airbag#2024168

    10,285 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the side curtain airbag inflators could be defective. As a result, the driver and/or passenger side curtain airbag inflator(s) could rupture unexpectedly and metal fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants. Safety Risk: An airbag inflator that ruptures can create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace both side curtain airbag modules.

  • Structure#2021422

    714 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the windshield may not be properly attached. As a result, the glass can become loose and could separate from the vehicle in a crash. Safety Risk: A windshield that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Action: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to remove and reinstall the windshield.

  • Visual System#2020397

    831 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, if the "stealth mode" feature is activated to turn off the rearview camera image, the display will not turn on when the driver shifts to reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display each time that the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Note: Deactivating stealth mode will return the display to normal operation. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the body control module software. This update will disable stealth mode when the transmission is shifted into reverse.
